How do we use your location?
Knowing your location helps us recommend plants that will thrive in your climate, based on your Growing Zone.
Agastache x 'Kudos⢠Silver Blue' PP#25,344 (Dwarf Hummingbird Mint) is a deer resistant, waterwise perennial with a compact habit, cold-tolerance, early blooms and resistance to powdery mildew - a big plus in a changing climate. At 18-24" tall x 24" wide, consider planting âSilver-Blueâ with Nepeta âSelect Blueâ, Coreopsis, Liatris, and Salvia, where it can harmonize with other summer bloomers. Beautiful planted en masse, be sure to grow some for cut flowers too. Agastache needs a full sun location and soil with good drainage. Deadhead spent flowers to encourage more blooms. It will flower into the fall, providing welcome late-season nectar for our pollinators. Leave the stems standing over winter (songbirds love the seeds).
The Kudos⢠Agastache series are hybrid cultivars selected for increased tolerance to moisture and cold. Species native to the Southwestern United States and Northern Mexico, adapted to tolerate heat and drought, are crossed with Agastache rugosa, a species native to Asia that better tolerates more moisture and colder winters. Kudos⢠plants feature the benefits of both species for a more versatile and weather-tolerant Agastache plant. They are more compact and tidy, and feature dense, long-flowering blooms, holding their colorful calyxes even after flowers have faded. The Kudos series exhibits excellent cold hardiness and can be grown across most of the US.

"both plants I ordered are slow to accept their new neighborhood! Maybe they will finally wake up next season? Have babied them, and talked to them and encouraged them…. . will see how they are by next year:)"
"For years I've struggled to find something that would grow in a narrow flower bed between our house and a pavers patio. The small flower bed gets 8+ hours of sun and because a drain tile runs beneath it, the root system couldn't be large. The agastache has been the answer and is performing very well. As we experience climate change and hotter, drier summers in western Ohio, I will be buying more of your water-wise plants. The two that I ordered came very well packaged and ready to use immediately. Thanks!!"
"Great looking healthy plant. Flowers look pretty different than pictures but hopefully its the right plant"
"I followed the planting instructions by adding mulch into a mound. I was worried because although hot, East Texas is humid with a lot of rain in the spring. The plant is happy and blooming."
"I use this mainly as a pollinator."
