How do we use your location?
Knowing your location helps us recommend plants that will thrive in your climate, based on your Growing Zone.
A showcase of garden superstars, our Agastache Collection is perfect for beginning gardeners and Agastache enthusiasts alike. Most Agastache species are native to the southwestern U.S. and northern Mexico, so they are very successfully grown in a high desert climate. The key to growing the Agastache is to find a hot, sunny planting site with quick-draining soil of low fertility.
*Plants are subject to change due to availability. If we make substitutions, we feature plants with similar attributes suitable to the collection design. No planting map included.
Our Agastache Collection includes 4 plants, covering approximately 6 square feet when planted together

"Plants are used to attract hummingbirds and pollinators."
"Well packed and well grown plants"
"You guys are the best. your plants are SO much more healthy than other mail order places. Your shipping method / packing methods are second to none. I fully enjoy receiving your plants. Thank You."
"I'm in zone 6. Planted these in May and they have bloomed all spring and summer. Hummingbirds LOVE the blue boa. I hope the plants come back next year. They are all beautiful."
"Used on a hillside that was excavated to build my house. Had to start from scratch. I'm trying to keep it natural and water wise."
"These plants are very easy to grow and don't need a lot of water. . . they have flowered consistently since planting them. The hummingbirds and bees lover them."
"I'm a new gardener, I was skeptical that planting these in the fall would be ok. They looked quite dead in the spring, but soon enough they started sprouting from the ground. I'm very excited to see how they bloom this summer. I'm eager to try more varieties of plants I can start in the fall."
"These all have a wonderful scent!! Pollinators love them. They have grown a lot since April 2023"
"I love this mix. Make sure you give them a wide area. I had to move mine after the first year. I'm in Indiana and these grew amazing in my back yard. They look rough when you get them but put them in a foot wide and deep new hole. Put in some good soil, well packed and water everyday when you are getting them established and can go 3 to 4 days in the summer without water. I cut them back to a foot in the fall(btw these are great in the fall for dry bouquets), then a little bit more in the spring and that's it. It's been 5 years and they are still going strong."
"Agastaches don't typically have dense foliage so I think it pays to have them in groups or clumps and put them a little closer together than the spread width. High country gardens uses a really good type of shipping box which holds the plants in place without damaging them. I live in the high desert of Eastern Oregon which is fairly challenging, and I irrigate with drip tape. I received the plants in late May to mid June and they have flourished. By early August of their first year they are at about 2/3 of their expected height. The pastel colours of all the varieties go together beautifully. I spent quite a while today just watching the bees and hummingbirds enjoy them. Desert Solstice and Blue Blazes got established and grew much faster than Rupestris and Cana Rosita."
