"I got these and planted them in May, and after our wettest summer with the most hail we've ever seen, these babies are still going strong! Being a beginner, I followed the instructions as best I knew how and they're doing great! We had one plant swapped, and only the phlox, columbines and grass are growing tall, as most of the other ones stay pretty low the the ground. The hardy plumbego is the one i'm most worried about - she's a lil flimsy but she's still growing new leaves and doing ok! Hope they all make it through the upcoming winter!"
"Planting areas that used to be boring turf grass. Looks great this first season, and will only improve."
"I needed to fill a shady planter by our front door but wasn't quite sure what to do with it. I'm a new gardener so it was so helpful to just order the pre-planned garden with plants that are selected to thrive in the shade and a handy diagram showing where to plant everything. I had one plant that arrived in rather poor condition but customer service sent out a replacement right away. The plants are tiny upon arrival but I am ok with it since they should fill in and come back year after year once they are established."
"I know NOTHING about plants and only a little bit of gardening. This pre-planned garden was perfect for me. I debated on spending the money on sight-unseen plants, but read the reviews and decided to go for it. I figured the outcome couldnt be any worse than picking the wrong plants from a local nursery and having them die. Plants arrived healthy and super well-packed! I was nervous because the instructions said to plant them immediately and I was delayed a little over 2 weeks. Finally got them in the ground and they literally took off! Every plant has thrived and all blooms appeared within 2 months! There aren't enough words to express how happy I am with High Country! I'm a new loyal customer for life."
"I planted these in the spring and it is now mid-August. I'm very happy with these plants, they started out small but most have grown well. The lambs ears are silvery and beautiful. The plumbago are full of flowers now and a good size. The white nancy are doing pretty well and have flowers. The bella blue are still small, but have had some flowers, hoping they will grow bigger next year. The columbine did not flower this year, they must have been new seedlings so should flower next year. The blue fescue grass is doing great, lovely color. Lastly, the phlox is doing okay, it is growing towards the sun so I plan to move it next spring and switch its location with a hosta that is getting too much sun. I have another phlox near the hosta that is doing great. All these plants have done well, I'm hoping they will fill out more next year to really fill in the space, especially the bella blues. When I planted them I was careful to lay them all out and space them apart per their tags. I'm really happy I gave this grouping a shot, I do not have a green thumb at all, but they are doing well anyways. The color combination is really nice and they fit in the space wonderfully."
"These are the perfect plants for a shady area under 3 aspen trees. The plants were packaged nicely, arrived at a good time to be planted and are thriving."
"I love this combo. Something is always blooming and very healthy."
"This is intended for a large area but I used it to fill in a long bed, behind a row of hostas, where there used to be bushes. It gets some afternoon sun in the summer but is mostly shady thru the year. The lambs ears are doing great, and so is the prunella (already flowering). The columbine *was* doing great until something ate all the leaves; supposedly the plant doesn't mind?? and will grow back, so my fingers are crossed."
"There was one plant in the group that was very small, wasn't sure if it would make it through the summer. I went ahead and contacted customer service about a possible replacement, they were wonderful! Said if it didn't come around by the end of the summer, they would replace it. The plant ended up doing very well and ended up thriving!"
"Love this garden, all the plants performed well. lamb's ear grew huge, the columbine lovely in yellow, and others beautiful. mostly shade on patio against house on a north facing wall."
