How do we use your location?
Knowing your location helps us recommend plants that will thrive in your climate, based on your Growing Zone.
The genus Lavandula (Lavender) is of huge horticultural importance, and this is especially true in the waterwise (xeric) landscape where these plants take center stage because they are resilient, low-water evergreen shrubs. To introduce waterwise gardeners to this indispensable group of culinary/ornamental herbs, we have put together a long-blooming, cold-hardy collection of Lavender varieties that will provide flowers from late spring into early fall. This collection includes a wonderful mix of English and French hybrids that have a variety of flower colors and a range of mature plant sizes.
Our Long Blooming Lavender Collection comes with 5 plants:
Note: Hardy in zones 6-9. The Lavender Collection could be grown in zone 5b but you should take care to insulate the Lavender plants with mulch or cover in the winter.
*Plants are subject to change due to availability. If we make substitutions, we feature plants with similar attributes suitable to the collection design. No planting map included.
As soon as your order is placed you will receive a confirmation email. You will receive a second email the day your order ships telling you how it has been sent. Some perennials are shipped as potted plants, some as perennial roots packed in peat. The ‘Plant Information’ section describes how that item will ship. All perennials and fall-planted bulbs are packaged to withstand shipping and are fully-guaranteed. Please open upon receipt and follow the instructions included.
Perennials and fall-planted bulbs are shipped at the proper planting time for your Growing Zone. Perennial and fall-planted bulb orders will arrive separately from seeds. If your order requires more than one shipment and all items are shipping to the same address, there is no additional shipping charge. See our shipping information page for approximate ship dates and more detailed information. If you have any questions, please call Customer Service at (801) 769-0300 or contact us by email or chat.

"I used the lavendar to accent large rock features and in my front flower beds."
"I spent so much time on HCG trying to pick out the right lavender types for my xeric perennial garden for full sun. . . . it's hard to choose! So finding this package was a godsend. All of the plants came well packaged and healthy, though several were VERY small. So those of you who are used to going to the local nursery and picking out a full bushed out plant might be disappointed. But they are all healthy and vigorously growing, even putting out new growth practically the day after planting. I have mine planted in somewhat amended heavy clay soil with bark mulch (not ideal for lavender, ha) but they don't seem to mind as long as I'm cautious when watering -- deep infrequent watering. Lots of full hot westerly California sun. They haven't grown enough for me to really tell them apart, but this is a good starter set for those wanting to get into lavender but unable to choose!"
"Most of these plants did wonderful! Planted them along the driveway for a hedge effect that will be blooming spring-fall. Didn't bloom this summer, but I am very excited to see them all bloom next summer. Only had 2 that didn't make it (they arrived smaller & weaker than the rest), but contacted customer service at the end of the summer and they were prompt on replacing them for free. And those two are doing well now!"
"Love them. They go into every bouquet"
