Our exclusive Mountain Shadows Bearded Iris Collection was curated to transport you to that magical moment just after the sun has dipped below the towering mountain peaks, casting a spellbinding twilight glow. Delight in the array of colors, ranging from pure white to the soothing tones of periwinkle, deepening into rich purple and near-black hues. Comprising five distinct varieties, these Bearded Irises not only captivate with their beauty but also thrive in challenging conditions, boasting resilience against drought and browsing deer and rabbits.
Our Mountain Shadows Bearded Iris Collection features the following selections:
Easy to grow Bearded Irises thrive in sunny spots with good drainage. Keep the top of the rhizomes exposed or even with the top of the soil. Once established, Bearded Irises are drought-tolerant, deer and rabbit resistant, and will spread and multiply when happy. Once flowers have faded, this versatile plant’s eye-catching vertical foliage will continue to enhance the perennial garden. Plant with ornamental grasses and other water-thrifty late spring bloomers such as Allium and Oriental Poppies. Lavender, Gaillardia, Echinacea, and Salvia will benefit from the striking foliage as a backdrop.
Bulbs are subject to change due to availability. If we make substitutions, we feature bulbs with similar attributes suitable to the collection design.

As soon as your order is placed you will receive a confirmation email. You will receive a second email the day your order ships telling you how it has been sent. Some perennials are shipped as potted plants, some as perennial roots packed in peat. The ‘Plant Information’ section describes how that item will ship. All perennials and fall-planted bulbs are packaged to withstand shipping and are fully-guaranteed. Please open upon receipt and follow the instructions included.
Perennials and fall-planted bulbs are shipped at the proper planting time for your Growing Zone. Perennial and fall-planted bulb orders will arrive separately from seeds. If your order requires more than one shipment and all items are shipping to the same address, there is no additional shipping charge.
