Iris germanica ‘Lone Wolf’ (Tall Bearded Iris) is anything but lonely with tall stems carrying 8-10 buds each! A study in purple, shades of the hue are seen in the crisp lavender standards and deep, velvety falls edged with lilac borders. This exquisite iris stands tall at 37 inches, making it a standout feature in any garden landscape.
Plant 'Lone Wolf’ in a sunny location with well-drained soil, ensuring the rhizomes are exposed or level with the soil surface. Grouping them in clusters of three or more enhances their visual impact and creates a stunning focal point in the garden. Perfect for mixed borders and rock gardens, use as focal points in foundation plantings, or grow them in containers for patio displays. Once established, Bearded Irises are drought-tolerant, deer resistant, and rabbit resistant, and will spread and multiply when happy.
