Description
Based on our exclusive Watershed Wise Pre-Planned Garden, this curated garden built for large spaces can help you play a part in managing watersheds essential for ecosystem health. With beautiful, easy-to-grow native plants, our Large Watershed Wise Pre-Planned Garden features deep-rooted varieties that are resilient and can tolerate long periods of drought, as well as wetter conditions when the rain does fall; their deep roots also help improve soil health and filter out pollutants. Not only are they beautiful, but the flowers and grasses provide food and habitat to support pollinators and wildlife, too.
Note: Watershed gardens capture rainwater as it runs off hard surfaces at home, like a roof, sidewalk, or driveway, so it can filter down through healthy soil instead of picking up pollution on its way downstream. Plant this garden in a shallow swale – a depressed area – about 6-8” deep, with sloped edges and a flat bottom, to ensure that you capture water when it rains. As soon as your order is placed you will receive a confirmation email. You will receive a second email the day your order ships telling you how it has been sent. Some perennials are shipped as potted plants, some as perennial roots packed in peat. The ‘Plant Information’ section describes how that item will ship. All perennials and fall-planted bulbs are packaged to withstand shipping and are fully-guaranteed. Please open upon receipt and follow the instructions included.
Perennials and fall-planted bulbs are shipped at the proper planting time for your Growing Zone. Perennial and fall-planted bulb orders will arrive separately from seeds. If your order requires more than one shipment and all items are shipping to the same address, there is no additional shipping charge.
