Thriving!
"I planted this in a dull corner of our driveway that needed to be livened up. The spot receives full morning sun, then complete shade for the better part of the day. I was quite disappointed at first in the puny ""Redbirds in a tree"" plant, the root system was much smaller than the pot it was shipped in, and there wasn't much above ground, either. But it ended up doing well and even bloomed the first year! The other plants were too busy establishing themselves to bloom (I planted a bit late), but as you can see in the attached photos, they filled out nicely and even attracted some birds! I left the pot outside to overwinter with a blanket of dried leaves, and look forward to this little garden coming back to life next spring! I watered about once a week, which is more often than the planting recommendations."
