How do we use your location?
Knowing your location helps us recommend plants that will thrive in your climate, based on your Growing Zone.
Lavandula intermedia 'Grosso' is a classic French hybrid Lavender grown for its fragrant dark blue flower spikes and vigorous growth habit. With nice wide gray-green foliage, 'Grosso' is a large grower and blooms heavily providing an ample harvest of flowers for lavender wands, sachets, and culinary use. This is an outstanding honeybee plant providing mid-summer flowers after the English lavender finishes flowering in early summer. 'Grosso' has good cold hardiness for a French hybrid and thrives in zone 6 winters in well-drained soils.
Lavandula 'Grosso' is hardy to zone 10 only in dry, arid climates such as the West. This is not recommended for planting in a wet, humid environment such as the Gulf Coast, Southern TX or Florida.

"I just received them- they arrived looking healthy and I immediately planted them. The next day we received a surprise system of freezing temps and even snow which is very abnormal for northeast Georgia but they new, young plants still look great!"
"Best condition of plants ive ever received!"

"Everything looks great!!!"
"One went in right away, it's fine. Another got knocked around a bit, not sure if it will come back - my fault. Another didn't get planted soon enough - my fault so not sure if it will come back"
"These plants have almost turned my yard into the south of France. They get really big, as the name suggests. Very fragrant, and the bees love them."
"Purchased 2 in 5 gallon fabric containers about 3 years ago. 1 was planted in 1:1 sand and cheapest garden soil. The other was in soil from my yard. The Sandy soil mix grew from the 5"" pot size and filled the 5 gallon by 1 season. The other struggled and died after the first winter. These were a test run. I live in a hot/humid climate with very wet winters. Ordering more but will increase sand/soil 2:1 and also keep out of the rain. . ."
"Border for large perennials. Very fragrant and many people comment on their beauty. I give blooms to friends and those who become friends."
