EverLast™ Violet Blue Dianthus is a recently introduced Dianthus bred for improved resilience and adaptability to challenging garden conditions combined with exceptional flowering. Unlike traditional Dianthus, which flower in a discrete season, these plants produce gobs of two-toned, pink and magenta doubled flowers with frilly edges from spring through fall. Deadheading will keep them flowering even more heavily. Out of bloom, EverLast™ Violet Blue plants feature a compact yet upright growth habit, making them suitable for the front of perennial gardens and borders, where their fragrant flowers can be appreciated up close. The fragrance of this plant is good advertising, as far as pollinators are concerned: flowers here are nectar-rich and attract butterflies and bees.
