Tulips in the San Juan Mountains

"These little jewels have been worth the workload (planted approx 200 in the heat of last fall). This week my tulips are peeping up, just in time for Easter and Passover. What a delight! We have very poor soil conditions and have to amend in this geographical area at 8'000 fr. In addition, weather and moisture has been challenging with high winds and minimal snow. So this spring I have supplemented by watering. The pack of mixed tulips included a sweet little stripe style, too much fun!!!"

"Some of the prettiest tulips I've ever seen. Started out with a few light lavender tulips, then darker mixed with white stripe, beautiful! Then here comes the dark purple, perfect combination of tulips. Extra long stems, and huge flowers."

Beautiful vivid unusual tulips

"We still have several feet of snow in early May, so its wonderful to be able to brighten the yard with a container of tulips, daffodils and hyacinths. The bulbs starting poking their heads up in late March, and were blooming by early April. They're still blooming beautifully on May 7 (I have the planters on dollies so I can roll them into the garage when its snowing or below 32F, which unfortunately has been more than half the days/nights this spring)"

Nice extended bloom

"These looked lovely - and it was nice to have a mix of bulb types & flower heights & colors. I saw an extended but continuous bloom, because each bulb type peaked at a different time. My flowers colors' came in lighter than the picture - a mix of lighter pinks & purples. But, I thought the real colors looked lovely together."

Tulip glory

"This tulip mix literally makes me happy everyday! There is a great variety of size, colors, and blooming dates. The colors play perfectly off each other. They seem to have been in bloom forever already! Even survived a frost so far. Just planted this past fall. Will be purchasing more."
