Description

(6-22" tall) The Oasis Garden Bulb Collection combines lush foliage and vivid color for plenty of pizazz in container gardens and planting beds. You’ll adore the delightful Rain Lilies that pop out of the ground after summer rains. Collect these pink, crocus-like blooms for small vases indoors. Elephant Ear foliage is also perfect for cut flower arrangements. This collection includes a mix of five unique caladium varieties each speckled, splashed, or striped with red, pink, green, or white. Cannasol™ Happy Emily® Canna adds lush, disease-free foliage and cheerful yellow blooms to the mix. The Oasis Garden Bulb Collection will perform best in areas receiving morning sun and afternoon shade. Plant in a moist to wet, well-draining soil in late spring after the soils have warmed. These tender perennials will need to be dug for winter storage in cool climates.

Planting & Care

Summer Blooming Bulbs, including popular varieties such as gladiolus and dahlias, are planted in the spring and bloom in the summer. Most of these bulbs are tropical and require warm weather to be planted. There must not be any danger of frost and your ground temperature must have reached 55 degrees Fahrenheit before planting. Many
of our summer blooming bulbs can be planted as perennials in zones 9-10 (zone 8 if mulched), but should be treated as annuals in cooler climates. You can lift them and store them in the fall, or bring patio pots inside before frost. See page 15 of our Planting Guide for a bulb depth planting illustration.

Shipping

As soon as your order is placed you will receive a confirmation email. You will receive a second email the day your order ships telling you how it has been sent. Some perennials are shipped as potted plants, some as perennial roots packed in peat.  The ‘Plant Information’ section describes how that item will ship. All perennials and fall-planted bulbs are packaged to withstand shipping and are fully-guaranteed. Please open upon receipt and follow the instructions included.

Perennials and fall-planted bulbs are shipped at the proper planting time for your Growing Zone. Perennial and fall-planted bulb orders will arrive separately from seeds. If your order requires more than one shipment and all items are shipping to the same address, there is no additional shipping charge.
