"I needed a perennial grass to add height, texture, and interest to a large area by our front porch. The plants arrive healthy and packed very well. There is helpful instructions for best conditions, planting, and care. I am looking forward to seeing some red color in the grass this Fall."
Panicum virgatum 'Ruby Ribbons' PP# 17,944 (Ruby Ribbons Prairie Switch Grass) emerges in spring with soft blue-green foliage. A selection of Panicum virgatum, it blooms in late summer with airy sprays of red flowers. As summer progresses, it develops showy burgundy-red foliage that intensifies by fall. A very easy-to-grow perennial, it thrives in a wide range of soil types and moisture levels. It's an excellent selection for use in a rain garden too.
