The cheerful magenta flowers of Purple Mountain® Sun Daisy appear in late spring with blossoms that are both satiny soft and strong as nails. Bright flowers are very attractive to pollinators, lasting for many weeks, and occasionally reappearing in late summer/early fall. Deep green lanceolate foliage is neat and compact. Well adapted to dry soils and higher elevations, this plant works well for adding color and delight to a rock garden or dry area setting. (Osteospermum barberae var. compactum)

Love it

"Has been blooming for over a month now. It has been in the ground for two months in a part sun spot and is thriving. I hope to buy more soon."

Healthy plant

"I planted this in my border. I've never grown it before, but purple + daisy are attractive qualities to me. It looks good so far, and I always get good plants from High Country Gardens."

Been Waiting for this Plant

"Saw this plant on their website last year. Wasn't available at the time so when it became available for spring delivery, I immediately bought a few. They arrived healthy and are doing well."

A Keeper!

"I ordered two Purple Mountain Sun Daisies as experimental fillers for plants I really wanted that were out of stock. These daisies are so healthy; they've tripled in width since I received them and have been in constant bloom (with regular deadheading). The plants are short and the blooms are small; the color is vibrant and they are like a miniature version of my nearby Ruby Star Echinacea."

Lots of blooms

"I planted it next to some other non hardy osteospermums. It is blooming & very beautiful. I hope it is hardy, but if not, I enjoyed the flowers this season."

"Border plant."
