How do we use your location?
Knowing your location helps us recommend plants that will thrive in your climate, based on your Growing Zone.
A 2026 Plant Select® introduction, Mandy™ Sun Daisy offers a new color to hardy Osteospermums and on a vigorous, heavy-blooming plant. In May, dark-green, teardrop-shaped leaves disappear beneath layered, 3-inch mauve-petaled flowers, each with a yellow eye. With deadheading, this selection will continue to flower lightly all summer long!
Plants are drought-tolerant but flower most freely if provided with regular irrigation and nutrient-rich, well-drained soil. Amending lightly with compost before planting does the trick. Grows well in any soil texture, from sand to clay, so long as it doesn’t sit wet in winter.
With this in mind, avoid siting this plant in locations where snow is piled, such as driveway edges, and place it next to pathways, patios, and in rock gardens, instead.
A tip: grows best in most of the West with gravel mulch rather than wood mulch.
