"Seems to stay mostly evergreen over the winter actually. Has a really nice blue tint to the foliage which doesn't come across great in photos. Flowers really early in the season, great on low water in cooler summer locations. Gives a great sense of place feel and goes great with other western natives like; sagebrush, rabbitbrush, saltbrush, penstemons, and eriogonums."
