Description
Syringa microphylla ‘Cheyenne’ (Littleleaf Lilac) is renowned for its dense, broad growth habit, reaching heights of 5 to 6 feet tall and spreading 8 to 9 feet wide. Long branches gracefully droop under the weight of its abundant blooms, creating a picturesque cottage-style feel. A spectacular display of fragrant, dark pink flowers erupts in late spring with the potential for a secondary bloom in late summer.
Plant in full sun to part shade in well-drained, fertile soil. Regular watering is essential, especially during dry spells. Mulching around the base helps retain moisture and keep the roots cool in hot environments. Prune immediately after flowering to maintain shape and encourage more blooms.
