Good looking texas blazing star

"Planted mine in two pots all four look healthy."

Tough Little Plant

"This little Texas Liatris is one tough plant! I planted it in my backyard garden here in West Texas, and it started out its first day at 95 degrees! This liatris is holding its own and also putting on new growth!. 🌱 It brings me a smile every time I look at its hardy little self! I will enjoy watching it grow and come into its own!"

Anticipating a novel garden addition

"High Country Gardens is a favorite site that I have been purchasing from for years. Unique plants well suited to my area climate, soil, and conditions. This particular plant came in excellent shipping shape, went into the ground and is settling in with new growth after just a month. Very pleased, once again."

Great plant, but not for zone 5

"So this is an absolutely stunning liatris, that I'd recommend anyone plant in its native range. All liatris are late bloomers, but here in southeast Wyoming, they seem to get to full size by the time the rest of the liatris bloom, then proceed to wait for a couple months to bloom. They don't bloom till early October at earliest, usually once all the pollinators are gone, and some only start to bloom for a day before consistent hard freezes come… again, extremely showy, and drought tolerant, but it needs a longer growing season to be worth it in my opinion, best for zone 7+ if you ask me."

Second season success

"I have to admit when it first arrived I was not happy. The plant was flimsy and looked bad. The first year it bloomed but flopped over and was a disappointment. The second year was a polar opposite. Strong healthy plant with upright flower stalks and was amazing. Never looked bad even when very dry. Definitely worth five stars."

Texas Star is a Star

"The second year and this plant is a beauty perfect for my pollinator centered garden."

Ace (5/5)

Little growth this year but flowered.

"It grew a little this year but not a lot. It did flower though. Hope for more from it this year."
