Liatris plants (commonly known as Blazing Star or Gayfeather) are hummingbird and butterfly magnet. Perennial Liatris is a member of the aster family and is great for borders, cutting gardens and naturalized areas. Liatris are a showy group of native wildflowers that are beneficial to bees and butterflies. Most varieties bloom from summer through early fall.
