Description

Hosta x ‘Guacamole’ is a favorite among gardeners for its unique coloration, fragrant flowers, and robust growth habit. White flowers on tall scapes rise above the foliage in summer, attracting hummingbirds and adding an extra layer of beauty to your garden. ‘Guacamole’ can be grown as a groundcover or used as a focal point in shaded garden beds.

Hostas thrive in partial to full shade. Gentle rays of morning sun can help enhance the leaf color, but prolonged exposure to intense sunlight, especially during the hotter parts of the day, can lead to leaf scorch and stress. Plant in well-draining, compost amended soil and keep consistently moist, especially during dry periods. Deep, infrequent watering encourages deep root growth and helps the plant withstand drought conditions. Remove spent flowers and damaged leaves to keep the plant looking tidy and cut the foliage down to the ground in fall.
