Description

Another fantastic Geum from Terra Nova™ Nurseries, Inc., this vigorous plant matures quickly, developing into a handsome, mounded form of rounded, savoyed leaves. Like the rest of its TEMPO™ series, ‘Coral’ is a prolific bloomer; by early or mid-spring, the plant will be resting under a cloud of bobbing, two-inch blooms with petals the texture of crepe paper. Unlike some hybrid Geums, this plant needs no staking as flowers rarely flop or lodge. Its foliage also won’t burn in full sun provided the plant is kept from drying out for extended periods; regular irrigation will also increase its floral show. TEMPO™ ‘Coral’ excels in full sun perennial borders, cottage gardens, and even spaces with afternoon shade. Capable of rebloom off and on through summer with irrigation and deadheading. These delicately textured flowers glow when backlit and are great in vases or a spot in the garden that receives morning or evening light. The compact plants fit well in tight or narrow beds or in smaller gardens.
