Equally good in the ground, it keeps a low, spreading profile and spills over retaining walls, softens hardscape edges, and covers bare soil patches with ease. This easy-growing geranium does all this while delivering a hearty bloom of bright pink, five petaled flowers from late spring into mid-summer. Plants offer light rebloom if deadheaded or cut back and irrigated deeply. A reliable “fixer”, Elke Geranium succeeds in heavy clay soils, blooms well in part sun under shade trees and around houses, also looks good even when finished blooming thanks to deeply lobed, feathery foliage.
