"Arrived healthy and very securely packed!"
"I am using the Karl Forester grass for ""blocking"" once they get tall enough. Came pretty small-- but caught up now to another grass that I planted earlier-- and was in a gal pot."
"Thanks for all the wonderful plants for my Colorado Springs landscape!"
"We placed these tall, narrow growing ornamental grasses along a long, stucco wall that borders a regular grass lawn in our front yard. Adds interest to the area. Beautiful!"
"'Karl Foersters' are very popular here, and my husband wanted some in our garden. I ordered and planted three in the fall. They overwintered (through a hard freeze with a week in the teens F), emerged, and took off like gangbusters. Their flower stalks are now taller than me (at 5'4""), and I've begun using them as accents in flower arrangements. We know these will get quite a bit bigger, but they are off to a fine start! Wonderful tall companions to alliums and contrast among low flowers."
"Nice upright grass, good for smaller areas. Looks great."
"I have added these grasses to existing ones of the same to fill in a large area. These are thriving and enjoyable in the garden throughout the seasons! #sweepstakes"
"Natural soil erosion for our lake front Adds to the beauty of our other plants and flowers"
"The grass in good shape. It is doing well and already growing and showing off. I love it. It is a great asset to my flower beds."
"I bought 18 plants and all were very healthy. There was no transplant shock. They seemed to just take off. I thought lost 3 to rabbits but it looks like 2 of them are making a comeback. I would order them again."
2001 Perennial Plant of the Year Rather drought tolerant (but not quite xeric) and tolerating a wide range of garden soils. Feather Reed Grass has a wonderful upright growth habit, making it very useful to place behind perennials with a spreading or rounded shape. The feathery plumes emerge in early summer and ripen to handsome wheat-colored seed heads by fall. Cut back to 3” late spring. Scratch out old, dead canes from the center of the clump. Combine with Artemisia 'Powis Castle' or Russian Sage. Plant in groups of three or five for best effect. (division propagated)
As soon as your order is placed you will receive a confirmation email. You will receive a second email the day your order ships telling you how it has been sent. Some perennials are shipped as potted plants, some as perennial roots packed in peat. The ‘Plant Information’ section describes how that item will ship. All perennials and fall-planted bulbs are packaged to withstand shipping and are fully-guaranteed. Please open upon receipt and follow the instructions included.
Perennials and fall-planted bulbs are shipped at the proper planting time for your Growing Zone. Perennial and fall-planted bulb orders will arrive separately from seeds. If your order requires more than one shipment and all items are shipping to the same address, there is no additional shipping charge. See our shipping information page for approximate ship dates and more detailed information. If you have any questions, please call Customer Service at (801) 769-0300 or contact us by email or chat.
