So happy
"It arrived lush and healthy despite its small size. However since being planted it has grown from a 2 inch to a 5 inch plant. Already branching more and taking shape to be a beautiful tree someday."
20-25' tall x 15-20' wide. Huge and cold hardy with large fragrant pink flowers, this Desert Willow is a fantastic introduction by nurseryman Steve Bieberich, Sunshine Nursery, Clinton, OK. Believed to be a hybrid of Chilopsis with a little Catalpa mixed in, Chilopsis linearis ’Paradise’ has thrived in the extreme heat and cold of western OK for many years. Suitable for zones 5b - 9. Native.

"Bought this 6-7 years ago as a 5"" pot! It's grown SO big and I never have to water it (planted one summer during monsoon rains season). I do have 8-12 inches of organic plant mulch all around it, this insulates the roots from heat and cold, helps nourish the soil as the mulch breaks down, and regulates moisture levels. I aggressively trim the lower branches (limb up) to select for one central trunk (or it tends to multi stem)."
"Initial order came dormant with a forked twig. It never leafed out so got a replacement which was already leafing out and is doing quite well."
"Since receiving my plant, it is healthy and growing well. I love it!"
"Beautiful starter plants #sweepstakes"
"This is a great xeric plant that makes a statement in the right location. Not very common in Colorado gardens, so it adds a unique flair."
"This plant is a great addition to my deck plantings."
"Being the terrible gardener that I am, both of my dessert willows are kicking a""*. Just follow instructions and you too can be experienced."
"Plant flowered for me this season. Great fragrance."
"Beautiful tree with long bloom season that hummingbirds love, too."
