"When this little guy arrived last fall, let's just say it was puny! A tiny twig about 6 inches long with a few leaves. Nevertheless I planted it with high hopes after reading the reviews and boy were they right!! In the spring it took off, then a late freeze got it. Came back EVEN stronger and started blooming in June. Impervious to 100 degrees plus temperatures and deluging rain. Deer haven't touched it. Amazing!"

"I planted this in front of a south facing brick wall in Denver (5b/6a) four years ago and it is now 15 feet tall and flowers all summer. I water it once a week now that it is established and I haven't fertilized it yet, but I plan to give it some yum yum mix this fall. It leafs out in late May which always makes me worried that it didn't survive the winter. I love desert willows. I also have a pink one and the purple Lucretia Hamilton one, both doing well along a west facing brick wall."
