A strong, vertically growing cultivar with distinctive gray-blue foliage and tall, bronze flowering spikes, this is a superb specimen for use in xeriscapes and perennial borders. Selected by plantsman Bill Adams, of Sunscapes nursery in Pueblo, CO, Windwalker® is a unique form of North America's most famous tall grass prairie native. Flat of 9 plants will cover 18-23 square feet when planted together.

Some perennials are shipped as potted plants, some as perennial roots packed in peat. The ‘Plant Information’ section describes how that item will ship. "I ordered this grass to help provide a screen between my front porch and the neighbor's driveway and it does that, but the true beauty of it is in the wind. I live in a really windy area, and Windwalker is perfect for windy spots. The leaves almost dance in the wind, it's almost always in motion. The only downside to Windwalker is it doesn't hold up to snow for winter interest. But I really enjoy it in my garden, and plan to get some more for the backyard eventually."
