Asclepias incarnata 'Soulmate' (Swamp Milkweed) lights up the mid-to-late summer garden with clusters of pink petals surrounding a white heart. This native star attracts and nourishes hummingbirds, butterflies, bees, and pollinators of many shapes and sizes – especially Monarch butterflies. With a sweet vanilla scent, it’s deer and rabbit resistant. This easy-care plant brings as much pleasure to the gardener as it does to the pollinators in sunny borders and meadows with average-to-moist soil.

Beautiful plant!

"The plants are TOP quality! Currently, I have them in a big outdoor pot until I decide on their permanent location. They already are over 3 feet tall and beginning to bloom. I can't wait to enjoy their fragrance! I have been looking for this particular variety and High Country Gardens came through! You will not be disappointed with your purchase. I also bought sweet peas which are fabulous and beginning to bloom. THANK YOU HCG for offering a variety of hard to find perennials…. will order again and again. I have no cons so far…."

Healthy plant.

"The plant arrived in very good shape and was a substantial size. It's already doubled since I planted it a few weeks ago."

Healthy plant

"So, at first I recieved the wrong plant, but I contacted High Country and they sent the correct plant right away. It started very small, but grew extremely quickly and is already about to bloom. I didn't think it would bloom first year, but it turned out to be a fast grower. I planted it at the edge of my marsh pond, and it loves it there in it's sunny, moist location. I'm very happy with this Soulmate Swamp Milkweed, and would buy again1"

I have a black thumb

"I have a black thumb but I am trying to learn gardening. I was so excited when my swamp milkweed started growing but then the leaves started turning yellow. Eventually, all the leaves fell off. I'm afraid I killed it but I'm hoping that there is some way I can bring it back. I really want to create a garden that attracts hummingbirds and butterflies."
