How do we use your location?
Knowing your location helps us recommend plants that will thrive in your climate, based on your Growing Zone.
Agastache x ‘Rosie Posie’ (Hummingbird Mint) is a new garden-worthy cultivar that fills the need for a compact, long-blooming, low-maintenance perennial. Native to North America, Agastache features fragrant flowers that attract bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. Scented foliage makes them perfect for a path’s edge where they will be brushed as visitors pass, releasing a minty fragrance. Nice candidates for areas where minimal care is needed, these xeric plants are very hardy and drought tolerant once established. Plant them in a full-sun location with well-drained soil. Great in containers as well, they can provide cut flowers, and may be dried for their sweet minty fragrance.
As soon as your order is placed you will receive a confirmation email. You will receive a second email the day your order ships telling you how it has been sent. Some perennials are shipped as potted plants, some as perennial roots packed in peat. The ‘Plant Information’ section describes how that item will ship. All perennials and fall-planted bulbs are packaged to withstand shipping and are fully-guaranteed. Please open upon receipt and follow the instructions included.
Perennials and fall-planted bulbs are shipped at the proper planting time for your Growing Zone. Perennial and fall-planted bulb orders will arrive separately from seeds. If your order requires more than one shipment and all items are shipping to the same address, there is no additional shipping charge. See our shipping information page for approximate ship dates and more detailed information. If you have any questions, please call Customer Service at (801) 769-0300 or contact us by email or chat.

"This is my first time trying to grow agastaches. Outside of the prime environment. Central Texas, on the edge of the hill country. Zone 9a, little rain. Alkaline soil. I bought several agastaches and other plants, including one Rosie Posie. The Rosie Posie is the healthiest one so far. In two months it has grown from a little 4 inch start to 6" x 18" across by 6" tall. Actually, for the first couple of weeks it looked sickly and languished. It was in a bed with improved soil, with lots of compost. I then moved it to another site with native, lean soil, with a little clay, a generous helping of expanded shale and a little perlite. It's now really taken off growing. Foliage color is fine. I am waiting to see how well it blooms and survives."
"I got this agastachi as a substitute for an item that was back ordered. It is absolutely fantastic! Plant screw to 3 ft wide by 3 ft tall in the first season. And beautiful flowers all summer and the deer left alone! Best of all our bees love it! Snow mid December and the plants are still green even though we've had many freezing nights."
"I love this plant . Once it blooms, it blooms all summer through fall. It might start blooming in late spring. I have 5 Rosie Posie plants. I enjoy how hardy they are ,once they are established. If one dies, I'll just order more. Since it's is early spring the plants are not in bloom. That is the reason I didn't add a picture."
"I was introduced to agastaches when I took the Master Gardener classes in 2022. Wish I would have known about them sooner! They have become a favorite. Lots of beautiful varieties are available through High Country Gardens."
