"After 3 years of touch and go these plants are thriving. The first year I didnt get flowers, the second year they spread to be quite enormous but the flowers sort of dried up, but this year they are fabulous. Very full and with bright red heads. Just give them alot of space as a few of mine have spread to be 2-3 Ft wide. I planted them behind Little Lemon Goldenrods and the red and yellow together are looking very nice."
"I love yarrow in my garden, and this more recent addition (ordered last September and planted in spring--excellent shipping) is so very pretty. Low maintenance and highly satisfying. Lasts long as a cut bloom brought indoors for a vase arrangement. #SWEEPSTAKES"
"I am thrilled with this purchase of three last fall. Came up in cold northern lower peninsula of Michigan. Color is magnificent. I do xeriscape gardening as my locale is pure nutrient poor sand with a lot of browsing deer. It has been very difficult ot find plants that have wow appeal and will survive both deep deer and terrain. This one is a real find."
"So I'm an avid lover of Yarrow because I don't have to baby it. I actually purchased mine a year ago, planted a couple in some really crappy, rock-laden soil, and just let it do its thing. It didn't grow ""well"", but it survived though blistering hot summer and winter in crummy rocks and little water. One I didn't even bother planting and it actually bloomed already. This stuff is tough. I dug up the rock bound ones and put them some place nicer this year. Then planted the one I left in it's original container too. Don't over water your yarrow. It grows native in my area, which is high desert. Stuff doesn't need a lot of help. I've got terracotta and pink in back and I'm going to have to separate it next year because it's growing so fast. Also, this is a great plant for the smaller native bees. Honeybees aren't interested in it, so there's little competition for it. Deadheading will give you blooms all summer into fall."
