A lovely addition to a semi-shaded garden
"I live in the southwest NM and didn't really think this would last a season. I planted it 2 years ago when we had an awful heat dome settle over us with temps in the 100's for over 2 months, and then again the following year. Most plants really struggled, even this little guy who amazingly survived. I do have it in an area shaded from the afternoon sun and regularly moist soil. Although it has remained small, it is covered with dark green foilage and that lovely blue flower flush in the spring, and again in the fall when it's cooler with even a few here and there throughout the season. I think it might do very well in a container."
