"Oh my gosh! I planted this baby last fall with few expectations, but wow, it's glorious and so unique! Loving it."
Iris germanica ‘Red Dirt Road’ (Tall Bearded Iris) captivates with its luxurious, velvety red blossoms, towering at an impressive height of 41 inches in the early spring garden. 'Red Dirt Road' received the Royal Horticultural Society 2017 Honorable Mention award, a testament to its outstanding beauty and quality.
Plant ‘Red Dirt Road’ in a sunny location with well-drained soil, ensuring the rhizomes are exposed or level with the soil surface. Perfect for mixed borders and rock gardens, use as focal points in foundation plantings, or grow them in containers for patio displays. Once established, Bearded Irises are drought-tolerant, deer resistant, and rabbit resistant, and will spread and multiply when happy.
