Iris germanica 'Honeycomb' (Tall Bearded Iris) has broad, flaring flowers with an abundance of lavish ruffles and lace. Butterscotch, peach and orange hues bring a gorgeous and inviting color palette to the waterwise garden. Once flowers have faded, this versatile plant’s eye-catching vertical foliage will continue to enhance the perennial garden. Plant with ornamental grasses and other water-thrifty, late spring bloomers such as Allium and Oriental Poppies.
This award-winning Bearded Iris is easy-care and drought tolerant once established. Plant them in well-drained average soil with the tops of the rhizomes exposed, in a sunny location. They will spread out and multiply over the years paying you back in blooms for your effort. Pollinator friendly; deer and rodents avoid them. Top dress with bone meal in the fall and some organic bulb food in the spring and enjoy the show!
