Description
Iris germanica ’Elainealope’ (Tall Bearded Iris) has a unique broken color pattern distinguished by splashes and splotches of reddish-purple that adorn light lavender petals. A sweet fragrance enhances its appeal, making it a sensory delight in any garden. 'Elainealope' was awarded with an Honorable Mention in 1998 from the Royal Horticultural Society.
Reblooming bearded irises produce flowers multiple times throughout the growing season, providing continuous color and interest in the waterwise garden. Plant them in mixed borders and rock gardens, use as focal points in foundation plantings, or grow them in containers for patio displays. Once established, Bearded Irises are drought-tolerant, deer resistant, and rabbit resistant, and will spread and multiply when happy.
