Description

(24-36" tall x 24-30" wide) White-flowered Lavandula intermedia 'Edelweiss' (French Hybrid Lavender) is a mid-sized cultivar with unusual coloring that is a must-have in any waterwise perennial garden. The flower buds emerge pale pink, opening to snowy white flowers. With a profuse summer display of white flowers and sweetly aromatic flowers and foliage, this French hybrid is recommended to plant with 'Phenomenal' and other blue-flowered French hybrid cultivars. 'Edelweiss' is strongly fragrant, making it an excellent source of dried flower stems and dried flowers for crafts. For best results, grow in well-drained soil in full sun. Cut back the flower stalks after they have finished blooming. Prune back plants in early spring, if necessary.
