A 2016 Plant Select® Winner. 1" tall x 15-18" wide. The large, multicolored flowers of Delosperma x Red Mountain® 'Flame' are startlingly bright and beautiful. A rugged cold hardy Ice Plant that seems to tolerate dryness a little better than many, Red Mountain® 'Flame' Ice Plant blooms in late spring with brilliant orange-red petals surrounding a magenta eye. With summer rains will come sporadic re-blooming. The flat, evergreen mat of bright green foliage gives the plant good winter interest. Use this Ice Plant as a non-flammable groundcover for fire-resistant landscapes in the western US. A High Country Gardens introduction for spring 2015, this is a hybrid selection of Delosperma discovered by High Country Gardens' Chief Horticulturist David Salman.

Flat of 32 plants will cover 40-48 square feet when planted together.
