Agastache x 'Fall Fiesta' is a new hybrid hummingbird mint that is huge and stunning, extending the blooming season for the genus later into the fall. For hummingbird gardeners, 'Fall Fiesta' is an outstanding perennial that provides essential late-season nectar for migrating hummingbirds. Thought to be a natural cross between Agastache 'Ava' and Agastache rupestris Glowing Embers®, this exclusive introduction comes from the garden of David Salman, late founder and chief horticulturist for High Country Gardens.
As soon as your order is placed you will receive a confirmation email. You will receive a second email the day your order ships telling you how it has been sent. "Plants arrived in great shape! Looking forward to seeing vigorous growth once the weather warms up a bit."
"It takes a couple of years for these to really get going, but once they do the flower spikes are beautiful and long lasting. They bloom until frost time."
"My first concern with Agastache is if they hold up to their hardiness ratings. Fall planted these last year and they had 100% survival rate with lows sub -20°F, so check that box. A couple of them had kinda dull color though compared to the others, so I'm hoping those aren't the wrong cultivar by chance. Otherwise good, just hoping they fill out a little more in year 3."
"I have many different agastache and this is my favorite so far. It has held its amazing color and vigor for months, it's a real showstopper. Just make sure you have very good drainage and full sun. Very fluffy and colorful. I planted this last fall and it is already quite large not even a year later, so give it room to grow!"
"At the moment I have my plants in a very large container to get a feel for them before moving them in-ground to a more permanent spot. They are very lovely, even before flowering. I love the soft, billowy structure of the plant and the neutral gray-green of the foliage."
"Arrived healthy and is growing well in my front patio"
"The first batch that arrived were mostly dead. I called High Country Gardens and scheduled a replacement pair. They even delayed the shipping because I was going to be on travel for two weeks. The second batch was healthy and have fit in well with the xeric garden I planted this spring."
"Hummingbirds like it. Holding up well in our drought conditions."
"I have 3 of these in a pollinator patch. These get big! I will have to move them this year (3rd year) so they have more room in the patch. The hummingbirds love these and I consistently spot them at these plants in the morning and evening."
"This is the first year for these and I have 3 plants. I needed to transplant them after a month or so and they didn't skip a beat. They are a good size in the first year, I can see being larger next year. I needed to stake them since they were leaning towards the sun in the original location. Mine are more of a pink color and have that light, mint fragrance. And as noted, the hummingbirds are attracted to it and my Flower Kisser Salvia's."
