10-12" tall. Dahlia Dark Angel® 'Dracula' brings dark rich colors to the garden with his dark purple-red flowers and deeply colored purple foliage. The dark foliage provides a rich background for all the flowers around it. This is a daisy-type Dahlia that provides many wonderful cut flowers and starts blooming in mid-summer when planted in late spring. It. Dahlias love lots of heat and sun and enjoy a compost-enriched, well-drained garden loam for best performance. Easy to grow, protect them in windy areas by tying to stakes. Cold hardy in zones 8-10. In colder zones lift the bulbs in fall and store in a cool place over the winter. Hybridized from plants native to Central and South America.

"Beautiful black foliage that stayed beautiful and healthy all season long. Flowers were pretty but not prolific. The photo on the website showed a red flower but mine were more of a purple. Short plant, 12"" or so, best as edger or front of border or in a pot raised up so it can be admired close up."
