"This plant (I ordered 9) is my favorite of the 2024 season so far. Its grown super fast and at only 6 weeks its already flowering. I also find the very light green leaves very pretty. I planted these in VERY dry infertile soil where nothing else would grow and they are thriving. Will be getting more next year as I can see these are the perfect border plant."
"Just an update on this wonderful purchase from high country gardens! I bought three little pots, and they have resulted in a sea of interesting, evergreen (some 7) foliage, and cheery, yellow, flower heads! 100% survival rate, escape gopher attention, and make me smile."
"I was looking for attractive grey folage and groundcover habit. This little plant arrived in 2 inch pot with a couple of little feathers. It was planted in clay soil with added gravel for drainage. It is slow to begin growth but now making progress. Very unusual texture and delightful to view. I am looking forward to this fall and watching it as we near spring next year. All who see it remark ""what is that?"""
"I put this in my xeriscape garden."
"Used tanecetum (partridge feather) in a sunny north side Colorado rock garden at 7400 ft. It's a beautiful grey green fuzzy cool texture. It spread quickly to about 24"", low growing and evergreen."
"Hot/dry hillside. Growing well and wonderful color leaves. Mine didn't bloom its first year but the blue color of the leaves made up for not blooms. Very healthy and still showing color after a few freezing nights and one snowfall. Looking forward to spring."
"These plants are wonderfully unique and they draw comments from all my neighbors who stop by on their morning walk to chat while I'm out puttering in the garden. The foliage on these plants is beautiful and unusual."
"This plant makes me happy with its cheery personality; it really does seem to have a life of its own! Maybe it's because it is so springy and plush and it does so well in inhospitable territory. It's a very optimistic plant which seems to see potential in the most dismal of environments. ;) I ordered three ""just to see"" and they arrived in late summer/early fall. They were a little bit ""smooshed"" looking from their journey, but when I planted them, they immediately ""SPROINGED"" back to life, even though there was a horrible, dry and sunny, hot windstorm that day and the other plants that I put in at the same time really struggled or even died. They recovered so quickly that I was amazed! We live in zone 7 in the southwestern high desert (5000+ feet elevation). I planted them on a well drained, full sun slope that is a mix of soil and gravel and loose road base (by our driveway, pretty gnarly spot where pretty much everything else including succulents are unhappy). It's doing GREAT and the leaves are a wonder; they truly do look like little tufts of feathers!"
