How do we use your location?
Knowing your location helps us recommend plants that will thrive in your climate, based on your Growing Zone.
As soon as your order is placed you will receive a confirmation email. You will receive a second email the day your order ships telling you how it has been sent. Some perennials are shipped as potted plants, some as perennial roots packed in peat. The ‘Plant Information’ section describes how that item will ship. All perennials and fall-planted bulbs are packaged to withstand shipping and are fully-guaranteed. Please open upon receipt and follow the instructions included.
Perennials and fall-planted bulbs are shipped at the proper planting time for your Growing Zone. Perennial and fall-planted bulb orders will arrive separately from seeds. If your order requires more than one shipment and all items are shipping to the same address, there is no additional shipping charge. See our shipping information page for approximate ship dates and more detailed information. If you have any questions, please call Customer Service at (801) 769-0300 or contact us by email or chat.

"Too soon to evaluate - they are still alive, but too soon to tell if they will continue to grow and bloom."
"as filler in my borders. Its easy pretty hardy and the deer doesn't bother with it"
"Beautiful color and great for pollinators"
"These plants were smaller and slower to start than others that I ordered. However, they're surviving at ~10"" high and blooming in the first year. I have high hopes for more impact next year."
"This variety of salvia survives in over 100 F temps here in West Texas, which in itself is an accomplishment. Has not thrived yet, but I am hopeful for the fall season with more moderate temps."
"I have horrible clay soil and unpredictable levels of water, due to overflow from neighbors watering and occasional torrential rain. I have a south exposure flower bed that kills everything. I bought seven of these plants, I dug an oversized trench in a wiggly line pattern in my flower bed, filled the trench with a mixture of 1/2 sand and 1/2 soil, then planted my seven beauties. This is their first year. One is struggling to blossom, but still green and healthy. The others are leaving me breathless. They attract eyeballs. The evening sun shining through the flowers is my favorite thing about them. I posted a photo I took with no filters. They put on a show."
"I use it with roses and other butterfly attracting perennials. love the color and as usual your plants are very heathy and perform well in my garden."
"Last year, I bought three of these from HCG. The ones I used bark mulch around are all larger than expected; about 18-20"" tall by 26"" wide. The one I planted in a gravel-mulched bed is more compact, but still looks healthy. They all attract lots of bees to the garden and the rabbits haven't touched them. The flowers are lovely, and bloom at least twice if pruned after first bloom."
"I planted this salvia in a bed with Penstmon BOP, Yarrow, Salvia Greggii 'Playa Rosa'. It bloomed beautifully during a typical hot Sacramento summer with occasional water. It produced a huge volume of seeds but was not problematic. It went dormant in the winter but has come back with lots of foliage."
"Beautiful plant. I bought 2 of these, planted last year, this year they bloomed, the color is gorgeous."
