Great low care plant

"Such a good blooming plant early in the year when nothing else is growing it's out there doing it's thing blooming like crazy. I cut it all the way back late spring and by the next week it had all new leaves."

Already a blossom!

"Planted a selection of pasque flower in a highly visible and challenging section of the yard that gets crispy fried by the sun and sandblasted by the wind. Pasque are a nostalgia flower for me, as my dad used to point them out during hikes in the rocky, high mountain grasslands and slopes in Montana when I was a child. So I was thrilled to find them in a few different colors for sale, and from my favorite sustainable plant nursery, so I knew that they would be good quality! The leaves aren't showy and are almost weedy looking, so be careful to not groom the garden too vigorously where you plant them, as it would be somewhat easy to accidentally remove them. Pasque flowers do their show before it really heats up, and are done setting their fascinating seedheads before summer. That way they are more dormant by summer and don't require coddling during the heat and dry, similar to an oriental poppy. So it might be nice to interplant with others that are more active during the summer, such as yarrow, obedient plant, soapworts, etc. I fall planted 2017 and already spring 2018 have seen a flower or two and seed head!"

Hoping for blooms this spring

"Ordered this on sale after its flowering period but it does have pretty leaves. That's why it got 4 stars. Hoping it comes through the winter."
