Perfect!

"Love that HighCountry continues to provide excellent quality nativars for my region (South East)! Inspired by the High Country catalog/western examples we've been working on a southern version of the inferno strip native garden for hot, humid weather and clay soil here in Virginia. We were looking for bold colored native grasses to create a strip of suburban friendly meadow. The beautiful healthy plants we received were perfect, easy to plant with well developed root systems and top growth. Very excited to watch the grow in over the next few years!"

Sam (5/5)

Very sturdy root system - transplanted beautifully!

"High hopes for this in a dry, sunny area."

Jo (5/5)

Slow at first, but now coming on strong

"While this grass struggled a little in the early stages it has really taken off with the arrival of the hotter weather and I look forward to this grasses brilliant fall color."

RRZ (5/5)

Didn't survive the winter

"Planted in a grass native area. I've planted this species before and it is beautiful and they are thriving, but this one didn't work out so well."

Annamoose (3/5)

Growing well

"All growing well. Would definitely buy again"

Kemnitz (5/5)

I would buy this plant again

"Adding grasses to all beds. These start slow but are going great in 2nd year."

Little P. (5/5)

Slow start, but growing well.

"I used four of these for a patio edge feature. One arrived mostly brown and did not grow, but was promptly replaced by HCG. They haven't been fast growers but look healthy overall. I expect better, faster growth late this season and next."

Plant N. (4/5)

I have not had good luck with this plant

"I received 3 of these grasses as part of a planned garden. 1 grew feebly, and the other 2 died. High Country Gardens was very good about replacing the 2 dead plants. Only one of those grew, and it's feeble, too. Everything else in that planned garden has done very well. I would not recommend this grass based on my experience."

Kebby (2/5)

They are growing like weeds

"They are a component of an area that has several different types of grasses."

Jackie (4/5)

Even growing in wet clay

"I loved the look of this grass in the pictures, and even though the conditions in my garden don't really match what are stated as ideal, it has really flourished. It's late to emerge but seems very robust and easy going--even in my wet NY clay. I guess we'll see if it comes back next year after our wet spring!"
