How do we use your location?
Knowing your location helps us recommend plants that will thrive in your climate, based on your Growing Zone.
Lavandula intermedia 'Gros Bleu' is a compact growing French hybrid Lavender for smaller gardens. The plant blooms in mid-summer with gracefully thin, tapered flower heads with dark indigo-blue calyxes and lavender flowers. The flowers have a very sweet, long lasting fragrance. When grown in full sun, the plant has distinctive silver-gray foliage that turns a distinctive Lavender color in winter. It's flower spikes are re-blooming, so don't deadhead 'Gros Bleu' until the first frosts of fall

"Perfect and healthy!!!"
"Wanted a lavender that could mix with grasses. Wanted a lavender that was taller than it was wide. . . and this fit the bill. Very very pleased with it. Doing just what I hoped it would do to screen an ugly utility box in my yard. Great product. Glad I gave it a go."
"Great company. This was my first time ordering with them, and I will order more in the future. I am familiar with the Gros Blue Lavender, and it is a great lavender, with lots of beautiful and fragrant long stems. The plant, itself, is a wonderful variety of lavender, and tolerates quite a bit of heat. I ordered a 'tray' of 9 plants. They arrived in beautiful condition. The company really has a very smart system for handling the plants. The plants are planted in great pots allowing for lots of root development. The method of shipping has each plant in its own cardboard packing, which protects the plant in an excellent way. The plants, themselves, are in great shape. They have been planted in the ground only a short time, and I am looking forward to see how they do."
"Fresh and healthy"
"Loved these after we picked them at a lavender farm. We had to plant these at home to make the yard smell so good. These are the best variety IMO. Very blue flowers that are long and slender and smell so so good!"
"All the plants came healthy and have grown into little shrubs already. I planted these among the pavers in a hot and sunny southwest facing patio. Every plant is doing well and I'm looking forward to a border of lavender bushes for years to come."
"Used the lavender to top a long berm as a focal point in our yard. Plants arrived small but grew quickly. We had unseasonably wet and Temps in teens this spring but plants were unfazed. I watered with 1/2 gallon drip for 20 min every other day and plants seemed to like that."
"When I received my plants (I ordered 9), they were very small. I was concerned because of their size, but I followed instructions and planted accordingly. All of my plants are gorgeous! We have blooms and lovely fragrance. They are much larger than I would have expected by this time. I bought some larger containers at a discount store around the same time, and treated them the same way and they have all died . . . That tells me what I already knew. . . you get what you pay for!"
"Beautiful long stem Lavender with very sweet fragrance."
"Long lasting blooms. Made it through an extremely cold and record snowy winter with a bit of leave covering."
