Description
Ceratostigma willmottianum (Chinese Plumbago) is an award-winning shrub with gracefully arching stems and a compact size. As many summer blooms begin to fade, this plant steps into the spotlight with its vibrant cobalt-blue flowers and deep red foliage, providing a much-needed splash of color in the late season garden. Its compact size and dense foliage make it an excellent choice for mixed borders, rock gardens, and container plantings where it can fill gaps and add texture.
Easy to grow Ceratostigma willmottianum thrives in full sun to partial shade and well-draining soil enriched with compost. Regular pruning helps maintain its shape and encourages blooming. Keep the soil moist but not soggy to ensure healthy growth.
