A mature plant of Windwalker® in its full early fall glory will stop you in your tracks! A strong, vertically growing cultivar with distinctive gray-blue foliage and tall, bronze flowering spikes, this is a superb specimen for use in xeriscapes and perennial borders. Selected by plantsman Bill Adams, of Sunscapes nursery in Pueblo, CO, Windwalker® is a unique form of North America's most famous tall grass prairie native. Flat of 9 plants will cover 18-23 square feet when planted together.
As soon as your order is placed you will receive a confirmation email. You will receive a second email the day your order ships telling you how it has been sent. Some perennials are shipped as potted plants, some as perennial roots packed in peat. The ‘Plant Information’ section describes how that item will ship. All perennials and fall-planted bulbs are packaged to withstand shipping and are fully-guaranteed. Please open upon receipt and follow the instructions included.
Perennials and fall-planted bulbs are shipped at the proper planting time for your Growing Zone. Perennial and fall-planted bulb orders will arrive separately from seeds. If your order requires more than one shipment and all items are shipping to the same address, there is no additional shipping charge. "I ordered this grass to help provide a screen between my front porch and the neighbor's driveway and it does that, but the true beauty of it is in the wind. I live in a really windy area, and Windwalker is perfect for windy spots. The leaves almost dance in the wind, it's almost always in motion. The only downside to Windwalker is it doesn't hold up to snow for winter interest. But I really enjoy it in my garden, and plan to get some more for the backyard eventually."
