Lush new eco-lawn
"We planted the micro-clover/dwarf fescue seed the first week of June. It has filled in nicely and we are thrilled to have a low maintenance yard in our new landscape."
Our Microclover Low-Water Lawn Seed Mix is a sustainable lawn solution that includes Low Work & Water Dwarf Fescue Grass Seed and Microclover Seeds. The cool season grass mix features two dwarfed tall fescue grasses - Birmingham Tall Fescue and Memphis Tall Fescue, each developed to have a short habit. Microclover (Trifolium repens 'Pipolina') is an attractive waterwise lawn solution for high-traffic areas including lawns, athletic fields, golf courses, etc. This mix will quickly green up in spring and provide excellent density in summer, keeping an attractive dark green color all season. Fescue grasses have deep fibrous roots and Microclover spreads by rhizomes, for excellent durability in high traffic areas. Dense, deep roots also create a drought tolerant lawn; Low Work & Water turf typically only needs about 4” of rain per month, requiring little additional irrigation. Both are resistant to pests and disease, and nitrogen-fixing Microclover helps improve soil health and support healthy grass growth without any inputs. This lawn mix will will eliminate the need for fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides for a safe and healthy environment in your yard.
This mix is suited for a wide range of the United States and is best for all but the hottest extremes. This cool season lawn mix is best sown in March through early May, or late August through September.

"I purchased Micro Clover Low water Lawn Seed Mix and two other clover seeds. After amending my poor soil, it has taken very well, is lush, soft and healthy. #sweepstakes"
"We are gradually converting our turf lawn to low water/drought resistant perennials. We still want some areas of lawn for our dog and grandchildren, so we tried the Microclover seed mix this spring and really love it. We plan on converting more areas of Microclover in the future! #sweepstakes"
"We're at about 7,000 feet in the mountains. This lawn is doing well except for the fact the golden mantled ground squirrels think we grew the clover just for them to eat. So they keep the clover well trimmed while the fescue thrives, leaving an uneven but not unattractive lawn."
"Needed to cover after lawn uprooted. The grass was growing in a few days and is continuing even without daily watering. After twenty five years of lawn repairing, this grass seed has responded the best! Will expand this to other thinning spots. Thank you so much."
"This worked perfectly to fill in many ""bald"" spots in the back yard and stands up well to an energetic doodle. #sweepstakes"
"I planted this mix in a test area to see how it would do in my soil and climate. I am so impressed with how this has grown and plan on using it in my whole yard area! Why I love this mix is for 2 reasons: 1) we live on a well so our water is fairly limited, especially in the summer, this doesn't require as much water as a traditional lawn but still gives us a green space to play in. 2) We live in an area that has very rocky clay soil. . . In this test patch I did nothing with the soil except remove the old dead lawn and weeds and it grew! We will be doing slight soil amendment for the whole update but are happy with how well it did in our ""untouched"" soil."
"I waited for the summer heat to subside and for rain to be in the forecast before sowing in red clay. Within 3 days, I had hundreds of clover seedlings."
"We had the front of our house professionally designed last year with a new cobblestone walkway and perennial flower beds. This left the remaining front lawn needing extensive repair. We decided to try a clover lawn for the aesthetic feature as well as the pollinator and low maintenance that it would afford. We applied environmentally safe weed and grass killer, then had a truckload of loam/topsoil delivered. We worked the soil and applied the microclover seed. We live in NH and wanted to get a headstart on the sprouting so we planted in April. We had an unusually wet spring and the seeds came up scarcely. We contacted the company and set pictures. They were wonderful and sent us addition seed to fill in. It is now July and our lawn is beautiful. We have so many complements and people drive by and stop to look ! We just want to roll in it it looks so inviting. The birds and pollinators love it too. It is a win/win. No complaints!"
