"The grass seed is doing what it is supposed to do! I am hoping it is as easy as I think it will be to care for!"

Quick Germination!

"I cut down trees in an area between 1/4 & 1/2 acre and had it graded out to extend my backyard space. I simply ran a rake over the soil, and added a little top soil to mix into areas that were really red (Georgia clay red) and mixed that in. I sowed the seeds, fertilizer, added a light coating of wheat straw, and 5 days in and I'm already seeing a light hugh of green across the areas! The important piece is to ensure you water every 2 hours during the warm part of the day for 6 minutes or so, and up it comes! I'm seeding 9000 sq ft at a time to avoid having no more than two sprinklers set up at a time. I had a bag that I ordered in the spring that I put down and just got two more 5lb bags today, so we are off to the races!"

Nervous whether it would germinate

"Fescue seed did start to germinate within 2 weeks. The sparrows did start to probe under the straw mulch, so I had to cover with white shade cloth to leave the ground undisturbed. Hopefully more seed will continue to germinate and the sparrows/squirrels will leave the seedlings undisturbed. My concern to the lawn edge. So I came up with an idea today. Start my own tray of grass plugs to make a consistent edge of grass."

Fantastic Grass Seed!

"This is a fantastic grass seed that takes root and begins showing within a week or two! Had some areas of patchy grass and the consistent watering along with spring rains helped this fantastic thick low growing grass develop into a beautiful yard."

David (5/5)

Quick grower

"I planted this grass in some large bare areas and over-seeded into the existing turf. I kept on top of the few weeds and with all the moisture this area has received the areas have sprouted well."

Bungalow lawn makeover

"I focused on the prep work. I sprayed to kill existing lawn which was a bad mix of blue grass and tall fescue. Rototilled twice, because smaller machine barely scratched the surface. A 36"" rake really helped in the leveling process. I thought a blanket of peat moss would trick the birds from finding the grass seed. For a week, there was daily disturbance from the birds. So on the following weekend I placed a permeable covering to discourage the birds. It made a big difference. Few holes were made at this point. Within two weeks the grass seed sprouted! So I switched to an open netting to discourage the birds yet allow greater sunlight to the seedling lawn. I plan to fill in any low spots and bare spots next spring. Hopefully the winter survival rate is high enough that the front yard will only require a minor reseeding in the Spring 2023."
