Tulipa clusiana 'Peppermint Stick' (Specie Tulip) will spice up your mid-spring garden with cheerful color and form. As the blossoms of this species tulip open, the pointed petals alternate between snow white and rosy red, uplifting spirits and adding welcome color to the garden. At 12 inches tall, they are most memorable planted in masses or along borders where their colors can mingle and delight.

A grouping of these is spectacular.

"They look great near thr front door."

Pretty!

"These were really pretty! They ended up a bit leggy in afternoon shade. They have pink on the outside of the petals which open up in the sun to show a white interior."

Recommend!

"I planted these in the fall on the plains of CO and they looked gorgeous this spring!"

We moved, and I made sure I planted this again

"I've put this tulip variety in every place we've lived, so I made sure to add them to our newest home. They do naturalize at a moderate rate and are very striking in color."

Sooooo cute! You'll wish you bought more.

"These are adorable. The leaves are very light and wispy so I wish I had bought more to fill in the space. They are stunning."

Awesome deer-proof tulips!

"We bought these and the Tubergen's red/yellow tulips because they claimed to be deer resistant. Amazingly they are! We have tons of deer that eat so many things that they aren't supposed to like but these tulips have thrived. So happy! And pleased they guarantee they are not treated with neonics. Plus they're still blooming 4 weeks after they first opened!"

Beautiful beyond description

"I had to write this review this morning itself - everything else can wait :) I planted the bulbs in fall in my Zone 6b garden and they are now blooming. I chose the planting location to be under a mature tree that tends to get a lot of sun until mid May and then after filtered dappled sun. I just wanted to add some interest to the base while the tree remains dormant and leafless. Not sure whether the tulips will like this spot long term or not but this first season the flowers are just stunning. Flowers open in response to light but regardless of the degree of openness these are always beautiful thanks to the beautiful pink color on the back of outer petals. These remind me of some water lilies from India. I have not seen rabbits or deer trying to destroy the plants. Though they ate my regular tulips despite of using the same deer repellent on both plants. And the flowers are very large compared to the other verity of wild tulips I have. Sturdy on about 6"" long steps which can be cut and arranged in a bud vase. These are definitely unique, nothing you would see in the gardens anywhere. Such a beautiful touch to my garden. Certainly one of the best new additions. I am definitely going to buy at least two bags in fall again."
