Sunlover Double Late Tulip (Tulipa Sunlover) sports rich, sumptuous oranges flecked with tangerine for color that shouts out across the landscape. Double petaled, almost like a peony, these tulips are elegant garden stars. Blooming in late spring, the flowers are spectacular, lushly petaled and long lasting. At 16-18" tall they are gorgeous planted in a group or mixed with other late season tulips. Plant plenty so you can enjoy them as cut flowers too!

Beautiful and hardy

"These are absolutely beautiful tulips. The blooms are very large, about the size of a softball. They blooms lasted a long time and they are sturdy flowers. Nearly every one of them bloomed. I was expecting all orange but got more yellow ones. I was not disappointed because they are such beautiful flowers."

Huge blossoms, what a show!

"We were looking for a pop of color first thing in the spring and wow, we got it!"

Yellow (not orange as described) but beautiful otherwise

"These are beautiful and very full flowers. Shape is as pictured and All 9 came up and ready to bloom. They do not match the color photo nor the color description so I knock them down 1 star for that. I would have paired and planter them differently. Description says, ""Brilliant oranges and tangerines"" so I expected more of a variety and at least some orange flowers but none of them looked like the photo. At first glance all but one look yellow. Six are bright yellow, 2 are mostly yellow with faint orange stripe, and one is red. I would have paired them differently if I had known. It looks a little silly to have 8 yellow flowers with one lonesome red. They been through snow and heat before blooming in mid April. So they seem hardy. It has been fun waiting for them to pop. Shipping arrived in fall right around the time they were due to go in the ground. Pro-tip: deter squirrels from eating your bulbs by covering with metal mesh or cayenne after planting in the fall."

Not as described

"Full, peony-like, multi-petaled blossoms, but none of the ""sumptuous oranges flecked with tangerine"" colors that I'd expected from the description. All the bulbs came up a sunny yellow. Lovely, but not the look I was going for."

Not as described in color but beautiful and bright

"They all came up looking healthy. Color is all bright yellow. Not much orange or two tone color as picture shows. But they are still beautiful. States late spring blooming. It is mid april on the Colorado front range which I consider early to mid spring and they are currently blooming with my red Darwin tulips."

JJ (4/5)

Sadly, it didn't come up

"I suspect it's my fault. I planted these last fall in a pot and that probably changed the water requirements. Whatever the reason, though, nothing emerged. I offer this less as a critique than a guide to others trying to grow these in a container: water more often than you think is needed."

The Most Beautiful Tulips I've Ever Planted

"I planted these in the fall and their first year of bloom is beautiful! All 9 are blooming and healthy. I will be adding more to my gardens."

Ken (5/5)

Beautiful!

"I was overwhelmed by how beautiful these tulips were! I will definitely buy these again!"

Mine didn't really meet the description

"I planted these two fall seasons ago. Last spring the deer ate them before I could get a picture of the blooms. I want to love these, because I do see that I got at least one bulb of ""brilliant oranges and tangerines, a splash of gold"". But, most of mine were yellow. I wouldn't have orders them if I'd known they'd mostly be yellows, because I got these along with the Fragrant Daffodil mix. They are hardy and healthy though, as you can see my bag of 9 bulbs has at least doubled in numbers since I planted them."

These are striking!

"I made a used brick circle and used two bags of the bulbs. They all came up together and made a great show. The ref and orange colors are stunning. Love this companies instructions. Thanks for the excellent customer service- FRIENDLY."
