How do we use your location?
Knowing your location helps us recommend plants that will thrive in your climate, based on your Growing Zone.
Allium chistophii (Star Of Persia Allium) is fabulous perennial in the garden with its huge 10" diameter pink flower heads on a small growing plant. It's a great companion with other early summer blooming flowers such as Oriental Poppies. Use the seed heads in dried flower arrangements.
As soon as your order is placed you will receive a confirmation email. You will receive a second email the day your order ships telling you how it has been sent. Some perennials are shipped as potted plants, some as perennial roots packed in peat. The ‘Plant Information’ section describes how that item will ship. All perennials and fall-planted bulbs are packaged to withstand shipping and are fully-guaranteed. Please open upon receipt and follow the instructions included.
Perennials and fall-planted bulbs are shipped at the proper planting time for your Growing Zone. Perennial and fall-planted bulb orders will arrive separately from seeds. If your order requires more than one shipment and all items are shipping to the same address, there is no additional shipping charge. See our shipping information page for approximate ship dates and more detailed information. If you have any questions, please call Customer Service at (802) 227-7200 or contact us by email or chat.

"Of all the Alliums I have seen, the Star of Persia is by far the most fantastic. It's size is what usually first catches someone's eye, but then closer inspection shows the intricate and delicate pattern on its surface, that makes it look like one of those geodesic domes."
"This was my first season with scintillating Star of Persia and they were knockouts in my front garden! Right as they were starting to bloom, they got hammered by an early spring hailstorm which shredded their leaves to bits, but that didn't stop any of them from blooming! They put on a dazzling show for weeks, and I've left the seed heads on them as they still provide visual interest. I've got difficult clay-based soil that I'm amending as I go, and some plants still struggle, but not these beauties. Very satisfying and hardy, and the bunnies never touched them!"
"Ordered and planted them last fall. They bloomed for more then a month (June I suppose). Leaves died after that but stems and flowers dried out and kept standing tall for 2 more month. Now I have them in my dry flowers arrangements. They are taller then described - more like 24-30in but I planted them in light shade."
