How do we use your location?
Knowing your location helps us recommend plants that will thrive in your climate, based on your Growing Zone.
Allium Gladiator is a spectacular giant Onion that blooms in early summer with 6" diameter rose-purple globes on 3 to 4 ft. flower stems. Put this bulb in the back of the flower border where it looks great with other tall early summer blooming perennials. It looks stunning when planted in groups.
As soon as your order is placed you will receive a confirmation email. You will receive a second email the day your order ships telling you how it has been sent. Some perennials are shipped as potted plants, some as perennial roots packed in peat. The ‘Plant Information’ section describes how that item will ship. All perennials and fall-planted bulbs are packaged to withstand shipping and are fully-guaranteed. Please open upon receipt and follow the instructions included.
Perennials and fall-planted bulbs are shipped at the proper planting time for your Growing Zone. Perennial and fall-planted bulb orders will arrive separately from seeds. If your order requires more than one shipment and all items are shipping to the same address, there is no additional shipping charge. See our shipping information page for approximate ship dates and more detailed information. If you have any questions, please call Customer Service at (802) 227-7200 or contact us by email or chat.

"In Zone 4 and these Allium add great height, dimension, and color to my early season garden. They are on their second year and well established. Also, great nectar for early season pollinators when the garden is still coming to life."
"Yes, Allium are unusual. But, why plant what everyone else has? Over the past 4 years I have added more Alliums along my back fence each year. I now have about 50 Alliums (mostly Gladiator and Globemaster) along the entire back fence and enjoy a beautiful purple show from the end of May to the end of June. I am zone 6-northern Ohio. I am now adding salmon colored poppies to the mix. Poppies have been harder to grow for me, but Im going to try again. I had one clump of 10 grow beautifully this year, which gives me hope for the future. I highly recommend Alliums!! I ""play"" at being a gardener so, if something works for me, it will work for anyone."
